Great game, love the art and everything, but the triangles are not adding up and saving and I don't have any options to buy new characters

I'm enjoying the game and love the artstyle and colour but the menu buttons are missing and my total triangles aren't saved so I can't unlock any new characters.

I've been playing this game for years, and love it. As of lately I can't play it at all. As soon as I press start, the character falls below the ground and I can't do anything, not even exit to the menu
